I am a self-taught artist, who until recently worked as a women’s health instructor and nurse consultant, and painted whenever I carved out time for it. Due to illness in 2018, I quit my paid work, and subsequently found many more hours available for painting. My interest in art has deepened, and painting has truly become a place to find comfort and joy.

My painting practice employs visual language to slowly and quietly examine many universal human experiences, namely: order + chaos, illness + well-being, connection + isolation, pleasure + pain.

I work on paper, and use many materials in my paintings, including acrylic, gouache, watercolor, oil pastels, charcoal, pencils and markers.

I live in Chicago with my husband and 4 children. You can read more about my family’s current home, featured last year on Design*Sponge.
